Obser­va­tion-based MAP OF MEAN RUNOFF

A glob­al map of mean annu­al runoff (0.04° res­o­lu­tion) based on stream­flow obser­va­tions from 1651 large catch­ments (>10,000 km²). The map can be con­sid­ered an update of the 0.5° UNH/GRDC Com­pos­ite Runoff Fields dataset,  which was based on obser­va­tions from only 663 catch­ments. The map includ­ing doc­u­men­ta­tion is avail­able here. Please cite DOI 10.5281/zenodo.44782 when using the map in any publication.

New Köp­pen-Geiger cli­mate classification

New world map of the Köp­pen-Geiger cli­mate clas­si­fi­ca­tion (0.04° res­o­lu­tion) based on the most accu­rate gauge-based cli­mate data cur­rent­ly avail­able (i.e. World­Clim and PRISM).
